Changes in Police Record Check Costs

Ottawa Police Service is now considering changes to its costing model for police checks.

Currently in Ottawa, records checks for volunteers working in community sport organizations are FREE.

There is a potential for significant operational costs to our association if we are required to pay for this mandated report for the many volunteer positions within Ottawa Sting. 

In order to provide a fair and equitable fee structure model, the Ottawa Police Service is seeking your input on a cost recovery model for records check services.

There is an option 'A' which keeps the cost for volunteers at zero dollars for a police record check.
