Annual General Meeting - May 28, 2019

The Ottawa Sting Annual General Meeting is scheduled to be held on May 28, 2019 starting at 7:00 pm.  The AGM will be held in Ellwood Hall at Jim Durrell Recreation Complex.  Every member (see below) who attends will be entered into the draws for free Ottawa Sting try-outs for the 2019/2020 season.
 
The election of the Executive will take place at this meeting.  The positions that are up for election are:
 
President
VP Operations
VP Coaching
VP Finance (Treasurer)
VP Communications
Associate Registrar (new position)

Ice Director
Equipment Manager   
 
If you are interested in running for any of the above positions, or would like to nominate someone for any of the above positions, written nominations must be received before 6:00 pm on May 14, 2019.  Nominations will not be accepted from the floor at the AGM.  Please send all nominations to Warren Fisher (president@ottawasting.com).
 
An email with the agenda for the meeting will be circulated on May 16, 2019, which will include the names of those people nominated for each position, as well as any proposed constitutional or bylaw changes, including the addition of a new associate registrar position.  If you have an item that you would like placed on the agenda for the meeting, please send a written request to Warren Fisher (president@ottawasting.com). 
 
Each player on a Sting team for the 2018/2019 season has one vote at the AGM.  The player is to be represented by a parent or legal guardian at the AGM for voting purposes.
