This is a great accomplishment, on and off the ice. From numerous NHL accomplishments; including many franchise records, international play, and in our community as a trail blazer for mental health advocacy.
Daniel was also recognized by the University of Carleton and the Governor General for all his philanthropic and humanitarian efforts; including the Governor General's Meritorious Service Cross.
This honor was a long time coming and well deserved.
