2014 On-Line Ottawa Sting Tryout Registration is Open

Hello Sting Players and Parents, and new-to-Sting families:

The 2014 on-line tryout registration is open on the Ottawa Sting website:http://ottawasting.com 
Please go to the Sting website home page, left hand menu 2014 Registration.  Earlybird tryout fees are $135, until July 1st, 2014.  After July 1st, the fees increase to $190.

If you are new to Sting, and did not register with Sting for tryouts in 2013, reply NO to the question, are you a returning player.  You will carry on with your registration application.

If you are a returning player, you will be asked for your access code.  This code will automatically populate the 2014 form with your information from the 2013 tryout registration, for your review.  If you do not have your access code, the system will prompt you for specific information, and will email the code to the email addresses we have for you in the Goalline registration database.   

Also, if you are a returning player, we will need to know

• if you still have your white and black tryout jerseys, and if yes, what are the numbers (this is to ensure that you are the only #55 on the ice for your tryout session; you are not permitted to borrow another set of jerseys for tryouts as we make up tryout rosters based on the jersey numbers we have)
• If you have tryout jerseys, but need new ones, or you have misplaced your jerseys, you will need to purchase new ones.  The cost is $40.
• if you are new to Sting, and have never tried out with us in the past, your tryout jerseys are complimentary - there is no charge.

Please note that you MUST register with your home association before stepping on Sting tryout ice.  You will NOT be permitted to tryout with Sting if your home association registrar is unable to confirm that you have registered.  

For those players trying out for Minor Bantam (2001) and older, the Sting provides a checking clinic at the beginning of tryouts.  Participation is mandatory if you have never taken a checking clinic in the past.   Please indicate whether you require this clinic on the registration form as this will be helpful for planning purposes.
