The intent of this message is to provide everyone with an overview and to establish expectations for the approaching tryout sessions.
Start Date: The U11AA tryout series has recently been posted on the Sting website, scheduled to start on Saturday May 3. U11A tryouts will follow, likely to start on Saturday May 10
th (to be confirmed via future update).
Tryout Jerseys: For the entirety of the tryout series, your player will be identified by their tryout jersey number. Please ensure that you have a white and black tryout jersey with matching numbers and check in with your liaison at the arena when you arrive for tryout sessions to ensure that Sting has the correct number for your player. If you ordered new jerseys through the online registration process, they can be collected from the liaison at the first tryout session.
Goalie Evaluation Sessions: There is also a goalie skills assessment that only goalies are required to attend. This session is planed for May 9
th at 5:00pm at Amped Sports Lab.
Volunteers: We are seeking volunteers to support the tryout process. Volunteer assignments will include trainers (with appropriate certifications), and parents willing to be behind the benches to swing doors. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please let the liaison know - secretary@ottawasting.com

While tryouts can be a stressful time, the process is meant to place every player at the proper level for their development. It is important that your player is well rested and hydrated in order for them to perform at their best.
We hope that your player enjoys their tryout experience and has fun while out on the ice! Know that we have an exceptional coaching staff at all levels, who will ensure all the kids have a great season!
