Paul Coffey Invitational Tournament Champions - Ottawa Sting Major Bantam AA
Congratulations to the Ottawa Sting Major Bantam AA team for winning the Paul Coffey Invitational in Mississauga. Click for full article.
After dropping the round robin opener, the team needed to win out just to qualify for Sunday play. Backed by stellar goaltending and timely scoring, the Sting did just that, and beat a stubborn Brantford 99ers team 2-1 in the Semi-Finals to advance to the final. The team defeated the North Durham Warriors 4-2 in the Championship Game.
