Congratulations to the Ottawa Sting Major Bantam AA team for winning gold at the Capital Gold Rush Tournament this past weekend. Click on the full article for more details.
The Major Bantam AA participated in the Capital Gold Rush Sensplex tournament on September 20, 21 and 22.
After getting through the round robin with two wins, a tie and a loss, the team went on to play the Cumberland Jr. Grads in the semi-finals. After falling behind 3-1 at the halfway mark of the second period, Sting came back scoring three goals and winning the game 4-2. With only 10 skaters, Sting won the final game 2-0 over the Nepean Raiders.
