This team has won gold in four of their five tournaments this season, taking home a silver in the other. In this last of their tournaments of the season, the team won all four games in the round robin, and met the Gloucester Rangers in the semi-final game and the Upper Ottawa Valley Aces in the championship game. The Aces were determined to avenge their recent loss to the Sting in regular league play and were not affording any chances. The game was locked in a 1-1 tie until the Sting scored with less than five minutes left in the game. An empty net goal with only 30 seconds to go ensured a 3-1 victory.
