Registration for players who played for Sting last year is open August 14, 2020 to August 21, 2020. If you are a returning player and you do not receive an email from our registrar (associateregistrar@ottawasting.com) with a registration link before August 16th, please email.Registration
• Registration opens Friday August 14th 2020 & closes Friday Aug 21st 2020.
Accurate registration info is critical in order to match ice supply with player numbers. Players who register then withdraw will negatively impact Sting association finances which may threaten programs in other age groups.

What will the season look like?
2020/21 is a development year focusing on individual skills and personal goals. Participants will play 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 “inter bubble” games.
ANY of the following scenarios are possible:
1. Program as described above thru March, 2021.
2. Return to Stage 2 with reduced number of players on ice.
3. Return to lock down and hockey ends.
4. Move to Stage 4 and play 5 on 5 games with refs.
When will games start?
The earliest possible games with referees: January 2021.
If league play is allowed in January 2021 will there by try-outs?
Yes
Will we receive a refund if we move to stage 2 with a reduced number of players on the ice?
No. Ice costs are fixed. Ice time allotment will vary.
If my player’s bubble is shut down will we receive credit, or will that ice be replaced?
We will do our best to shuffle, however it may not be possible to replace all missed ice times.
My player is trying out with U18 AAA, will I receive a full refund if they make the team?
No, not this year. Although some camps and the free agent run past Sting registration deadline, we require accurate numbers of committed players to determine the U18 program. Too many players who register and withdraw could force program cancellations leaving other players nowhere to go.

My player is trying out for the 67’s AAA, should I register?
We expect 67’s bubbles to be formed prior to Sting registration cut off. If you have not heard from 67’s by end of day Aug 21st 2020, please contact us for help.
Is every player returning guaranteed a spot in the Sting development program?
It is our intention to find a place for every retuning player. In the unlikely event we have more players than spots, we will look at all possible options to keep the player in our program. If there’s no spot, we’ll provide a full refund.
When will the season start?
Target: Early October.
We are waiting for availability dates on the reduced number of ice pads open to hockey.
