For a status update on registration and the start of our development program, read the full article.The Ottawa Sting Minor Hockey Association is close to finalizing the bubbles for all players from U9 to U15.
All individuals who played with Sting last year that are interested in participating in Sting's development program this fall should have already registered.
If you did not play with Sting last year and you have sent an email expressing interest in participating in our development program, the executive liaison for your child's age group will be in touch within the next week to let you know whether or not your child has been chosen for the Sting bubble.
Once the bubbles have been finalized, coaches will be in touch with you to let you know when your child will be on the ice. If your child is participating with Sting, you will hear from a coach within the next couple of weeks.
All of the above information relates to players in U9 to U15. Registration for players in U16 and U18 is still open.
As an association, we have been planning as best we can with the information that is available to us. We have had to make some difficult decisions and are doing this with the best interests of our players and parents in mind. We understand that there are many players who would like the opportunity to develop with Sting. Unfortunately, we have limited resources and cannot accomodate everyone. If things get back to normal this season - with league games - our intention is to hold open try-outs for anyone that is interested.
