  ShareOttawa Sting U12AA IN THE NEWS: Raising awareness and funds for hard-hit Indigenous community2022-02-25
The U12AA Team has been busy on and off the ice. A major focus for this team was around community and through this, they've learned more about residential schools and the Orange Shirt Society, hoping the experience will serve as a bridge to more awareness of Canada’s Indigenous issues.

A major focus for this team was around community and through this, they've learned more about residential schools and the Orange Shirt Society, hoping the experience will serve as a bridge to more awareness of Canada’s Indigenous issues.
They sought to raise awareness and education in this area, including a massive equipment and donation campaign to help youths in need. The end result will be a home-and-away series of friendship games: beginning this Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Richcraft Sensplex from 12:15pm - 1:35pm and finishing up with a date to be determined at the outdoor rink in Rapid Lake.
