The Ottawa Sting Minor Hockey Association is seeking volunteers to take on the roles of Registrar and Associate Registrar. Together, the Registrars play a central role in the association and are responsible for managing player registrations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with league and association rules (please see a more detailed list of key duties below).
This is a great opportunity to join the Board and help shape Sting’s future at a pivotal time when we are transitioning to a new registration system.
These roles require a significant commitment and availability during the tryout, registration and rostering processes (occurring in spring and late summer/early fall) where activities are time sensitive and higher volume.
For this reason, we hope to recruit two volunteers to work as a team. Also, monthly attendance at the Board meeting of the Sting Executive is expected.
Training and support will be provided – no previous experience required.
Please send your interest to Adam Martin, VP Administration at secretary@ottawasting.com by January 3, 2026.
Key Duties of the Registrars
• Oversee the registration process for all age groups (U9 through U18).
• Maintain accurate player and team rosters.
• Ensure all registrations comply with Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) and Ottawa Sting rules.
• Track eligibility for tryouts and league participation.
• Act as a point of contact for parents regarding registration questions.
• Coordinate with coaches, managers, and the executive committee to confirm rosters.
