Ottawa Sting Major Atom B Clinch League Championship
2013-02-11
The Ottawa Sting clinched the Major Atom B League Championship with a hard-fought 4-1 victory over the Tri-City Griffons on Saturday night. This win cemented their league title with a league-best record of 24-4 with two games left to play.
The entire team contributed to this great accomplishment including all the forwards, defense and goaltenders. The team leads the league in goals for (103), goals against (27) and the least amount of penalty minutes (70). This is a real testament to the hard work of the boys over the regular season and to their whole team commitment!
Players, coaches and parents enjoyed the moment, but everyone realizes that the playoffs are right around the corner and are working hard to prepare for some tough competition in the next few weeks. They know that they must work hard for playoff success and are focusing on that now.
Go Sting Go!
